The Digital Foam project aims at developing and integrating into an existing production line a machine for the preparation and functionalization of textile substrates of various fibre composition intended for inkjet printing. The new plant will be based on an innovative foaming technology capable of guaranteeing a higher production efficiency as compared to the technologies used until now and a very low environmental impact on account of the remarkably lower use of water (-70%), chemical products (-40/50%) and, consequently, energy.
Update:
The project ended with the construction of two machines with full production capacity already in use for commercial processes. A significant impact of the new technology is expected on the entire Como silk district.
